“Diet“. I despise that word. It connotates a challenging, difficult, restrictive, stressful thing that one has to do for some amount of time. Suffer through it, and then everything will turn out the way you want things to be. But is this really the right approach to long term longevity? We will discuss this more in depth.
Keto, Mediterranean, DASH, plant-based (vegan or vegetarian), carnivore, etc. It can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. These diets can be hard to adhere to, long-term. I believe in finding something that works for each of my individual, and is unique to each of my clients. What may work for someone, may not work for another. There’s not a “one-size-fits-all”, and I don’t believe in that mentality.
I don’t like “diets” because they usually don’t last long. Lifestyle is my preferred method of approach. When you do a temporary diet, you can reverse any gains when you revert to your previous lifestyle.
So what does “lifestyle” actually mean, and entail? Well, it is for life! This not only includes the nutrition aspect, but also the water you drink, air you breathe, managing stress, exercising, managing toxins in your environment, and even detoxing. It can all be overwhelming. But as they say, Rome was not built in a day! It starts with baby steps.
Our world is so polluted and convoluted and confusing with all the information out there, but as a Certified Nutrition Coach, I am able to help my clients navigate the treacherous waters.
I offer free consultations, so please get in touch with me, and we can talk to see how I can help you achieve your goals.
